What ho adventurers! Thorin here with some new artwork and manufacturing updates! Let's first explore this new art and some forest locations!

The Lair of Yss'sak

“The Beast of the East, known in the old tongue as the Yss’sak, is more than a mere fairy tale. It is a creature older than the forest itself that once reigned over man’s domain. I fear the evil that has befallen lately will awaken this foul beast from its torpor.” - Eornrad, Elder of Reed

Is the Yss'sak a misunderstood beast or a foe to reckoned with? Only the judge knows for sure! This location area has been expanded a bit from the previous printing which was merely just a cave to be discovered, here (as you can see in the map by Alexander Moore) there is now a village of curious and strange fey folk to contend with!

The Lost Battlefield

“Alas, poor Roulreed the Just was fooled! Spurred by the whispering portents of the mysterious sages three, he led his army deep into the wilds of the forest and was betrayed. During the conflict he managed to sever one of the wretched fiends’ arms, but it was too late, for a curse was laid upon the king and his body was withered and corrupted. The sages fled and we few knights that survived carried the king back to the Keep.” - Excerpt from the Journal of Sir Anatos.

The Eastern Forest is filled with history, but sometimes that history can come back and its severed arm can pitch you on the behind! OUCH! The Lost Battlefield is new location area for Blights ov the Eastern Forest and ties in to one of the original baddies from the Bestiery - the Revenant Knights of Roulreed! Can their spawning be stopped or will the PCs become undead like them?!

To showcase this new area we have an awesome map by the Tiger Wizard himself - Andrew Bellury!

Manufacturing!

So as we are still waiting some final art pieces, none of the book files have been sent to the printers yet, however the dungeon-synth albums are being manufactured as I type this! HOORAY!

The Final Pieces are Rolling In!

Over the past week a few more art pieces came through. Still waiting on about 8 more or so and then both books will be COMPLETE! Once that happens I'll send the files off to the printers!

Surveys!

About 91% of you have completed the Backerkit Survey (HOORAY!) and for those of you who haven't there's still plenty of time, so fret not!

More art has trickled in concerning an area of the forest known as the Garden of Solace, so lets have a peek shall we!

Garden of Solace

“There once was a man, a gardener with no clan, whose plants would put you in a trance. Scorned by love, he buried her deep, so that only her flowers could speak. Cursed by his hand he can never now sleep, and tends to his garden still with the tears of his foul deed.” - Traveling Mistriel Croom

Rumors abound about this mysterious man know simply as the Gardener. Is he friend or foe?

The Garden of Solace is a maze and that's always a fun location to judge! Will the players discover all the secrets before the final encounter?

The Garden sure seems like a dangerous place to tread!

Cassette Tape News!

Behold the final cover image for the cassette! Glorious isn't it?

And hey! Remember in the last update when I mentioned there might be some exclusive monsters to be encountered? Well there officially will be! Inside each physical cassette case will be 1 of 3 different heat-bat variants to spice up your playthrough of Sky ov Crimson Flame! What might they be? Hmmmmm....

The smoke test was a success and as of this writing all the Backerkit Surveys have been sent out! These little buggers could be hiding in your spam box just waiting to pounce! (ROLL FOR INITIATIVE!)

 Survey + Add Ons!

As a Kickstarter backer, you'll be receiving an emailed survey so we can collect important information about your pledge (shipping address, add-ons, or changes you want to make to your pledge, etc).

NOTE: It's very important that you please answer this survey so you can get your Adventure Modules & PDFs and we can collect your shipping info (if needed).

Backerkit also allows you to change your pledge to a totally different tier or add additional items like the ones shown below!

You don't need to set up a Backerkit account or do anything besides follow the emailed link and fill out the survey.

(Also! Don't worry if you'll be moving soon -- go ahead and fill out the survey. You'll be able to update your answers later if your shipping addresses changes, or if you want to update something about your previous responses. )

Production Update

The printer/manufacturer is chomping at the bit to get the files and start production (and so are we all), but there's still a good deal of artwork coming down the pike and that's pretty much what we're waiting on at this point.

Cassette Tape Update: I'm working out some details to see if I can slip in an exclusive monster or two for those that order the physical tapes of the Dungeon-synth album. Nothing crazy mind you, but maybe some cherub head-bat variants the judge can throw at the players!

Rumors of a fledgling doom cult calling themselves the Children of the Crimson Flame have been on the rise ever since the night the sky was ablaze. Nearby villages from all around have stories of loved ones who lost their sight the day after witnessing the falling scarlet star and soon disappeared.
